Thousands of people, over more than two decades, have contributed to the construction of the largest space telescope ever created. The main mirror alignment phase of the James Webb Space Telescope is now complete, and was carried out in one of the world’s largest clean rooms, located at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center north of Washington. The OMM, the Canadian Space Agency and their Canadian partners have made a major contribution to this success by delivering one of the 4 telescope instruments: FGS/NIRISS.
